  • Version 003.019.000 (OPTICS RE)
    • Contents of the Release: New Features, Bug Fixes, and Enhancements
    • Release Date: December 2018
    • New Features:
      • Added support for fractional time zones
      • Added feature to synchronize 'System Name' between Gateway and OPTICS
      • Added features to show the MATE3 IP addresses assigned through DHCP on both the MATE3 and OPTICS
    • Enhancements:
      • Improved replay functionality
      • Changed MATE3's 'Charge Termination Control' default to OFF
      • Changed MATE3 AGS default to OFF
    • Bug Fixes:
      • Fixed issues with MATE3 connectivity to OPTICS that would cause connections to drop, large data spikes to appear, and DHCP enable/disable to not work  correctly
      • Fixed an issue that would cause repeated "Firmware Mismatch" error messages to appear in the OPTICS 'Event History'
      • Fixed an issue that would cause repeated "Time Zone Error" messages to appear in the OPTICS 'Event History'
      • Fixed spurious 'Sell Current' values by displaying all sell current below a certain threshold as '0'
      • Improved inverter firmware version reporting by disabling version matching validation while updating the inverter firmware
      • Improved consistency of values and icons in the 'Off-Grid' and 'Back-Up' MATE3 Home screens
      • Redesigned the replay functionality for improved stability and scalability
      • Fixed an issue that could cause an incorrect scale factor to be used when calculating "AGS Load Start kW" and "AGS Load Stop kW"
      • Fixed an issue that could cause incorrect inverter firmware or model mismatch between master and slave inverters
      • Fixed issue that would cause slave inverter modes to not follow master mode
      • Fixed several issues that could cause incorrect bar graphs or data spikes for load or generator kWH on OPTICS
      • Fixed issue that would show 0 volts AC in the 'AC Voltage Calibration' screen for Radian model E (export) inverters
      • Fixed incorrect HBCO and LBCO delay times
      • Fixed an issue that caused the 'Grid-Tied' Home screen to not show the total energy buy amount
      • Fixed several DHCP issues that could cause DHCP to return one IP address for multiple gateways on one network or to not correctly update IP addresses obtained through DHCP
      • Fixed an issue that could cause the main processor to indefinitely reset the Ethernet processor, which would in turn prevent connection to OPTICS
    •  Other Changes:
      • Removed FTP as it provided no benefit to users but could act as a security vulnerability
    • Known Issues:
      • Replay may not work on some systems; we are continuing to redesign Replay for stability and functionality but may have a little more work to do to get it solid
      • Time Zones on the MATE3 include UTC-02:30 and UTC+10:30 in order to support DST through OPTICS; Setting the MATE3 to one of these time zones can have unpredictable results
      • Local Time updates: If you change the local time, date and time zone on the MATE3, the change will not appear in OPTICS until you power-cycle the MATE3; if you change the time zone via OPTICS, the local time, date and time zone will appear promptly in the MATE3
      • Issues causing the MATE to freeze after the lock button is pressed, freeze on the splash screen, or enter a reboot loop when the splash screen is reached are caused by corruption or failure of the NAND flash; these systems must be sent to OutBack for service
      • Upgrading from version 2.x.x can cause issues. To upgrade older firmware, follow these steps:
        1. Save the MATE3 configuration to the SD card BEFORE updating to new FW
        2. Update to new FW (will format internal flash memory for v.3.x.x)
        3. Update again with new FW (will copy screen files and WEB HTML files)
        4. Restore the configuration from the SD card
