MX60 Resistor identification

Postby swbeebe on Fri Jun 09, 2017 8:06 am

Hello,
I am working on a dead MX60 controller. I found Q1 shorted, and R18 open. R18 is burnt beyond reading. Any chance someone could ID that resistor value for me? Or the color code? The resistor is just above the small transformer to the left of the PV and Battery hookups. I have attached a photo of it. Thank you for your time.

Sorry but my MX60 innards look different than yours. No resistor in that location.

Sorry, I assumed that the model was an MX60 because that was the manual he sent with it. It is actually a FLEXmax 80 (FM80-150VDC) Brought it to me already apart, so never bothered to check the unit to make sure it matched the manual.

Stogner - B4 I remove the cover for another photo, where do you mean by "other end"?

thanks. i was able to get the resistor code by using the pic you had. i am going to replace it and see if that solves the issue. if you need , i can take a pic of the resister you circled so you can id it. thanks
