I like the product and installed one for neighbors today. So tell me guy's if I silicon the openings to keep spiders out, what about the 10 inch by 3/8 inch opening at the top???? Is there a point here I am missing?

sparky,

You can silicone the top slot for added protection from the creepy crawler types. The cover makes a pretty good seal to the case which will keep out all but the most determined bugs.

I believe that slot was put there to allow line of sight to the top of the breakers in the PSPV. It helps you get the wires correctly settled in the breakers.
