Skybox price drop

No this is not an ad, but I see that N. Arizona Wind & Sun has just dropped the price on a Skybox. It's now selling at about a 33% discount to what I paid... :mad:

If it makes you feel any better, it's about 45% less than I paid a month ago. :sad:

Ah yes! The pleasures of being an early adopter. Higher cost, more kinks to work out, the thrilling experience of pioneering - that is, pulling arrows out of ones back. 😉

We all do it at one time. Like the $2,000 in UV filtering equipment I bought a year ago that has been replaced by a unit that has double the performance at half the cost. Oh well, I guess the 10000 gallons of water I treated at +$0.10/gallon cost was much better than going to the municipal well to fetch treated water there.

@AaronF - I feel your pain.

@Raysun - You'd think by now, with all the experience we get buying electronic equipment, that we'd learn to wait...

I have always though I should have "Never a 1.0 release" tattooed backwards on my forehead.

I have the same policy. However, in this case, it was my understanding that the Skybox was released in 2018. I didn't think I was getting a 1.0 release.... :sad:

Mike, if you pick your truck up in So Cal, I know some places where we can take it out and shoot at it while you are driving to give it a real good test. If that works, then over to Camp Pendleton for the Marines to have a go at it. You can stay at my place.

😅😅

I know of car dealerships in Rome that will put stylish dents in a new vehicle and carefully repair the clearcoat so they won't rust, in order that the random public feels less need to bash one's new car.

This bullet-hole thing is a whole 'nother level.

In a couple of years we can start the Outback Skybox and Cybertruck Owners Club. Very elite.

EDIT: The acronym should be CHAOS: Cybertruck H-something And Outback Skybox owners club, but I can't come up with an H. Heat pump? Too boring...
