Planned OPTICS RE Maintenance - August 29th, 08:00 PDT

Post by Bryce Millet » Tue Aug 28, 2018 9:12 am

Maintenance Notification

We will be performing updates on our servers tomorrow, Wednesday 08/29 at 8:00 AM PDT (15:00 UTC). This is a regular maintenance that requires taking various services offline for one to two hours. Loss of connectivity will occur for part of the update, but should be minimal. Thank you in advance for your patience while we make improvements to OPTICS RE!

4.0.0 Update List:

New Features
ÔÇó SkyBox: Added support for registering SkyBox systems.
ÔÇó My Profiles: Added the ability to favorite a profile by clicking the star icon on the My Profiles page. Favorite profiles can be viewed by using the "Favorite Profiles" link on the sidebar.
ÔÇó Power Flow: The power-flow now displays Grid Voltage and Frequency.
ÔÇó Power Flow: The power-flow now shows kW to and from the battery.
ÔÇó Dashboard Graph: If the dashboard is open during midnight, the graph will automatically transition to the next day when applicable.
ÔÇó Event History: New filtering options have been added to the event history. It is now possible to filter by message type (Info/Warning/Error/Critical).

Improvements
ÔÇó Supported Battery Types: Added support for new EnergyCell PL/PLC/FLA/OPzV battery types from the drop-down on the device registration screen.
ÔÇó Help Widget: Our help widget at the bottom left corner of the window now suggests using http://startcase.outbackpower.com for any non-OpticsRE related questions.
ÔÇó Dashboard Graph: Charge controller bar colors have been updated to be clearer and are also more distinguishable for color-blind individuals.
ÔÇó General: Made various back-end performance improvements related to data aggregation.
ÔÇó Site Settings: Added new time zone options. In order for your gateway to support them a firmware update is required. Supporting firmware may not yet be available for all devices.

Bug Fixes
ÔÇó Dashboard: Fixed an issue with data displayed for Radian inverters with certain setups which prevented any kWh information or powerflow information from displaying correctly.

Some operations are taking longer than expected. The maintenance window will be extended for another couple of hours.

We have released one more minor update to fix a configuration issue with the website's script files that was not caught in our initial testing before release.

You may need to log out and log back in at https://www.opticsre.com/Home/#/sign-in to download the updated files correctly.

We are still aware of a few minor issues with script files that need to be corrected. I'll post another update once those issues have been fixed.

We have released another small update that should solve the problems people using internet explorer 11 and safari browsers were having logging in.

We lost Internet for 4 days here in Kauai, another rain "event" of 2 feet of rain and all sorts of flooding. When the Internet came back up, both my Windows PC and Android tablet have "offline" Optics dashboards. I can see the Mate3 via the direct web browser connection. and I have deleted all the cookies, and signed out and in again using the link in the last post. But nothing so far. Can someone take a look at my system remotely? I suppose the next step is reboot the Mate3?

The next step would be indeed to reboot the Mate3 if it didn't reconnect to Optics automatically.

Hi David, Yes, it was me who requested the 'change chart day at midnight' feature. I'm still LOVING it :-) Every morning I wander out with bleary eyes & look at the system and the chart is already showing today's data - just as it should be! Thanks again.
