Alerts for grid down, etc.

I'd like to receive notifications from OpticsRE when my grid power goes down and again when the grid power returns. I'd also like to be notified when the FLEXnet DC detects that its charge parameters have been met. Can someone help me understand which of the hundreds of alerts in OpticsRE will do this for me?

If your Internet connection goes down when there's an outage then it couldn't send you the alert. I would test by manually dropping the grid. I know at my house when there's an outage I usually lose my cable connection as well, I think there's some sort of cable amplifier box nearby on the same utility feed as my house.

My internet connection isn't the problem. My internet connection hardware is all powered as part of my backed up loads. Also, I did the test you're suggesting, where I shut off the grid connection to the Outback system, and I got no notification.

My Internet is also backed up, my point was that Internet to my house also goes out during an outage.

Anyway, I tested the "grid dropped - load grid transfer" alert by manually dropping the grid and mine didn't notify me either.

This is a specific MATE3 function to automatically drop and use the grid based on load kW similar to HBX so this will not work.

I don't believe there is such event but I will double check with our software team.

Not sure if this is related - the Forum is trying to send you e-mail notifications on this post, but your mail server keeps rejecting them. If you're not getting e-mail notifications from Optics, this might be related.

Hi David,
I've been getting some notifications about forum updates, if not all of them. Also, and maybe more importantly, I can download reports from OpticsRE. The email message notifying me that the report is ready comes to me reliably.

Grid Loss- There is no specific alert that gives a notification of loss of grid power.

Charge Parameters Met- In the upcoming MATE3 FW release, "Charge Parms Met" will be posted in Event History, and can be included in the Alert/Notification Settings.

In OPTICSre you can click on the little ? in the lower left-hand corner of the screen to give feedback on how you would like a notice when the Grid connection changes state. This will place your idea into the queue for the OPTICSre team to consider and others can up-vote your idea too.
