The gateway is under local control.

I'm getting this message any time I go into Device Map and click on any device (Mate, Inverter, or Charge Controller.) The full message is "The gateway is under local control. Remote adjustment of attributes is disabled."

I can still use the Mate3s to change inverter settings, and the FM80 pushbuttons still work, but nothing can be changed from within Optics. I've reset the Mate (unplug and replug the RJ45 to the Hub), and unplugged and replugged the WiFi adapter at the Mate.

Anybody seen this before, and if so, what do I do next? Thanks in advance....

Ooops, it just fixed itself! Still curious in case it happens again, though

Just be in the MATE3s main screen whenever you play with changing settings in Optics ;-)

Sorry, I see the wink, but I still don't get it!

when you make settings change in Optics, your MATE3s screen should be in the main display screen. No wink.

Nah, that can't be it! I'm almost NEVER in that screen, and I've been using Optics for weeks now....

Later note: Sorry, that was rude! Still, I wouldn't think that was a hard and fast requirement, or I'd have made this same post weeks ago  .

Greg is on to something. I was wracking my brain trying to remember when I'd seen that message. It was when I was making changes on the Mate, walked away to do something, and tried to resume configuration in Optics.

The system must think there's an active configuration being carried out on the Mate.

I guess, but it's obscure, because I literally NEVER sit in that screen when I walk away from the Mate.
That being said, I do believe Greg's suggestion is correct, so if it happens again, I'll know what to do!

I’ve seen this as well. Forgot I had been looking at Mate screens. Put it back to main screen and all was well.
