Battery specific gravity problem

Hi there I have 4 month old Hoppecke opzs 730 batteries, according to the battery manufacture specs, I should absorb my batteries @ 57.6, and equalize them @ 58,6 , but I can't reach my SG to 1,24 as per spec? However I can only reach 1.22 with a very long absorb or a 8 hour equalize? Now can the equalization or absorb not be taken up to 63 or so?

What is the (DC) size of the charging source you are using? If your charger is undersized, it could very well take many hours to complete an absorption charge. I'm not sure if this is what you were asking when you mentioned "63", but increasing the absorption/EQ voltage is not the way to solve this problem if 63V is not a recommended target voltage. You must adhere to the Hoppecke's recommended target charge voltages, whatever they are.

Hello! In this case, I recommend contacting the manufacturerÔÇÖs service center.

They will be able to say for sure whether the problem is a breakdown or whether a long charge is needed.

If I were you, I would not risk having myself resolving this issue.
