fp1-34

Hi,
Just installed a fp1-34 (80A charger, 3kW inverter-charger, FNDC, Mate3)
running fine in the French Alps with about 40kWh batteries
(I am off grid).

Whats interesting is
a) all in one installation without any problem in a fairly small room;
b) the Mate3 ability to communicate, (though not very well
documented and rather limited: what you get on your computer is only
a part of what you get directly)

What is lacking in my setup:
a) a way to measure the sun's radiation: the array input stops when the batteries are full
my solution is an old 40W panel feeding a resistor. a logger measures the voltage between
the resistor entries. It should be proportionnal to the sun's radiation as seen by the panel
b) a way to read mate3 over the web. Working on that.

Still going through the thick documentation

More when I have more experience

also wanted to tell you that you can use the energy you have left by set the FM80 auxiliary output, which can drive a dynamic system of automatic derivation of the excess of energy to any utility like water heater or others...

Bonjour la compagnie,

I will have to take somepower from my 24V batteries to feed my monitoring system over Internet.
I do not want a specific shunt to monitor that, so I vill take it at
my GVFX3024 InverterCharger entrance, juste after the shunt
to make sure FNDC is fully informed. So..

Is it a good idea or would it be better to install a shunt?

If OK is there a reference book to guide the opening and closure
procedures of FP1-34?

Thanks
