Mate3 or AXS port to monitor GVFX3048E

Post by vincjwan » Thu Apr 23, 2015 12:10 am

I already have installed GVFX3048,Flexmax 80 in my home , so monitoring the Flexmax is simple by accessing the built in LCD screen , what is the most effective solution to get access to my GVFX and Flexmax at the same time ....
- Mate 3 with HUB and opticsRE
- AXS port with HUb and opticsRE
and what is the differences between the two kinds of solutions ...
could I get local access and to the internet with such solutions and how ...

Personally I would opt for the Mate3. Monitoring/controlling your system via the AXS port will leave you high and dry if the internet connection at your house goes down. If you are off grid then you may loose ability to troubleshoot the inverter when the power goes out. The Mate3 will allow you to see what errors or problems are going on, even if your house loses power.

You can use an AXS port as primary control/monitoring but you will need to have your network equipment powered from the output of your inverter (not the grid) and UPS is also a good option for extra insurance.

I am using an FX with an AXS as backup power and Off-Grid during Time-of-Use peak periods (I don't own a mate).
