Radian Inverter Temperature Ratings

Postby mhoybook on Sun Oct 07, 2018 2:44 pm

Can someone tell me if the rated max temperature of the GS8048A inverter which seems to be 122 degrees fahrenheit is referring to the XFMR temperature or the Cap temperature or the FET temperature? Both modules XFMR temperatures stay near or above that 122 degrees but the fans don't seem to be turning.

The 122°F Max rating is based on ambient temps. The FET/XFMR/CAP temps can and will go higher. Fan turns on at 60°C (140°F) and off at 40°C (104°F) or anytime AC is >12A.
