Controlling chargers from battery BMS

Postby HughF on Mon Jan 01, 2018 9:01 am

Hi folks, long time away from the forum (because my system has been working fine for years)... Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade from the wet nicad batteries we use and move to Lithium.

I plan to use the Batrium BMS system with the expansion board. I'm now looking at how I can integrate the charge termination controls from the batrium into our current system. From what I can gather I will need to upgrade from a Mate2 to a Mate3 then use the AXS port and the SunSpec protocol to control the VFX AC charging and the FM60.

Does this seem like the correct way to go?

Partly answered my own question, I think I can just use the axs port adapter plugged straight into my hub and issue commands into that. Likely I will start looking at the watt plot software next.
