Generator line on LCD disappeared

Postby James Wilson on Sun Oct 08, 2017 10:52 am

A couple of weeks ago the fourth line (G) disappeared on my display. The fifth (bottom line) works normally.

I also noticed that the generator icon on the Opticsre site has gone grey, but the red dots and wattage display normally and the generator runs the house and charges the batteries.

I hadn't changed anything but I did notice that something had been gnawing on the cable connecting the MATE3 and display so I replaced it.

I've been through the menus, but haven't figured out how to get this line back.

There are so many details - firmware levels, how my system is connected, etc. that I'm not including all of them, but will answer any questions that will help get this working again.

Thanks!

Hi James,

If you were to add your Optics site name to your forum profile, we could take a look.

Hello James,
Can you check from your MATE3: Lock / Settings / System / System Information
Make sure your Generator is set to "AC" not "None"

Hi James,
Your OpticsRe power flow has a greyed out generator icon because it is set to No Generator. You can make the change locally in MATE3 as suggested by Jorge G. or in OpticsRE --->Device Map/MATE3/AGS tab/Generator Type.

Thanks, I must have figured this out when I first installed it, but it just changed one day. I'll see if that fixed it when I get back hoem.

That should be 'home"... Don't see a way to edit my post after it's been posted on this forum...

This fixed the problem, don't know how it changed in the first place.
