Excellent!

Now try the new v3.15.1 upgrade! It works wonderfully for me. OB just doesn't get the programme to at least announce their product output??? **SIGH**

I noticed some OpticsRE improvements as well and I can't attribute that to the Mate3 upgrade. Seems smoother and faster.
Imagination? Maybe.

Victory was short lived.
20-May-2016 2100 hrs - OpticsRE dashboard and history chart seem to be frozen at 1400 hrs with the OpticsRE message:

"Current System Status : PARTIAL CONNECTION (05/20/2016 14:48) " shown above the circular PV gauge.

Will attempt FW 3.15.1 on Monday.

Still experiencing disconnects with 3.15.1. I will try Larrywa's recommendation to try a different router. I have a D-Link 4 port gigabit that's excess but it's still 5 years old.

And can someone please explain this: "CURRENT SYSTEM STATUS : PARTIAL CONNECTION (05/21/2016 16:54)"?

Weekend update on client system performance for OB troubleshooting use.

22-May-2016 1800 hrs - OpticsRE dashboard shows zeros for PV, Grid, etc... with the same OpticsRE message:

"Current System Status : PARTIAL CONNECTION (05/20/2016 14:48) " shown above the circular PV gauge.

A 3-day history chart shows data spikes for the 21-May-2016 1400 and 22-May-2016 0800 hours. The spikes appear to be cumulative summaries. No data populates between other times. Dave LeBow has this account's login info if he wishes to view.

Will still attempt FW 3.15.1 on Monday in advance of OB's advertised Tuesday OpticsRE maintenance outage.

We will be waiting to see how you make out with 3.15.1. Hopefully this will clear up most/all of your woes.

Currently I doubt OB is concerned what happens with v3.15 as they believe they have fixed it all with v3.15.1.

V3.15.1 was the easiest install I have done with my Mate3, yet. Once and done!

Best of luck.

Wow!!

Scary stuff! I will live with my limitations, I"ve spent so much time figuring out all the details of the pre optics software, I do not have 500 hours to debug this OptciRE/Cloud stuff.

Update on client system performance for OB troubleshooting use.

1 week since updating MATE3 to 3.015.1. Update went without incident. OpticsRE reconnected promptly.
OpticsRE also came back on line after OB maintenance of Tuesday, May 24.
No disconnects since. The only curiosity seen is that the load data point for the 1AM hour seems to be missing each day. Could this be related to the 24hr MATE3 auto reboot that might occur at that time. Grid use data point shows. Static IP address has held.

Will replace old site router tomorrow with new model from ISP.

Not going to claim success yet, just an abeyance of problems. So far so good.

Will note any other observations on the 3.015.1 report thread.
Now on to the next issues such as tuning the system to get the maximum daily solar yield.

Thanks for the report. I'm passing it on to see if we can work something out.

What does a "PARTIAL CONNECTION" message mean?

It basically means that the device is posting ping messages to the server, (Basically "Hey I'm alive. Do you have any commands for me?") but it hasn't posted any status packets to the server successfully. It should be possible to attempt a remote reboot from OpticsRE in this situation and potentially fix the problem.

This response and topic matter should be in v3.015.001 but....

I have found I can cure the "Partial Connection" by exiting the dashboard to "devices" menu and then back to "Dashboard".

It would seem, since I can "Wake up OpticsRE" by accessing the website, that the data update hiccup is in the website only.

Thanks OB. We are down to minor Mate3 problems now with v3.015.001 !. Definitely good news for me., at least.

Ooh... hot tip! Many thanks. Any idea when this occurs? Any pattern to when it reports partial connection?

Every morning between 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM when I first login to OpticsRE.

If I login from my mobile Android/chrome phone it does it again.

As before, I can always clear it and cause the clock to reflect the correct time by going into "Devices" and then back to "Dashboard".

Maybe I didn't mention that. IIRC, each time this happens the clock shown after the "Partial Connection" was stuck at the last even hour. After clearing it the clock shows the corrected time, within a minute or two. One time it corrected itself while I was watching the dashboard webpage. The circle graphic seem to update at the same time.

eg. I login in about an hour after sunrise and the graphic load shows 200 Watts. I think that seems a little low and then once the "Partial Connection" clears the graphic load circle will show say 1.5 kW.

David, the occurrence of the Partial Connection has no rhyme nor reason and as Larry mentioned, it doesn't go away once it happens. I merely reload the page to see if it goes away.

Have you tried viewing a device and then reloading Dashboard?

Next time I'll look at that way of clearing the partial connection.
