John,

Did the FLEXnet DC headers change from the previous Beta firmware level? The "extra data" fields had been in there, interspersed at various intervals.

I've not seen a response from John, so thought I'd go ahead and answer my own question. Here's a slew of FLEXnet DC records from the CSV files --

Code: Select all
04,4,0028,0001,0002,68,00004,535,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0027,0001,0002,09,00002,535,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0027,0001,0002,00,00018,535,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0027,0001,0002,69,00020,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0027,0002,0003,10,00010,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0001,0002,01,00097,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0001,0003,06,00009,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0001,0002,11,00017,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0001,0002,66,00017,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0002,0003,07,00099,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0002,0002,76,00004,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0002,0002,67,00087,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0002,0003,08,00002,536,099,000,54,37,
04,4,0028,0001,0002,77,00019,536,099,000,54,37,

The "extra data" field identifier has moved to field 6. The value is still the identifer (1 through 13 or 14 or so ...) with "64" added whenever the extra data value is added. So, identifier 77 is (77 - 64) or 13. Which is one of the cycle-corrected values -- amp-hour I think.

One thing to note is that they DO NOT get recorded in order. Because the logging is every five seconds in my case, the order is 1, 6, 11, 2, 7, 12, 3, 8, 13, 4, 9, 1 (repeats). When using CSV files it takes 65 seconds (at a 5 second update interval) to go through the cycle. If you configure the UDP communication, you will get all thirteen "extra data" values every thirteen seconds.

Yep, the FnDC status lines have been restored to pretty much the same format they used to have with the original MATE.

As before, bit 7 of the Extra Data identifier (the +64) indicates whether the Extra Data in the next field is negative or not. In other words:

00,00018 - means Accumulated AH for Shunt A is 18 AH
69,00020 - means Accumulated kWh for Shunt C is -20 kWh (69=5+64)

I was mistaken, my apologies. The columns on pg 11do line up with our data when decimal and other corrections from the csv are applied. Thank you!
