telnet settings for Mate3

Post by Sglanger » Mon Mar 30, 2020 2:12 pm

this seems pretty basic, but using MobaXterm aand trying to telnet into Mate3 every terminal emulator I tried gives back garbage and ^M. Is there some magic keymapping? I've tried all the MobaXterm emulator under telnet (xterm, vt100, vt220, etc)

There's a telnet interface? I know there's a web interface, but wasn't aware of telnet support in the Mate3.

What are you trying to do?
- If you want to just view the parameters and system performance enter http://ip address of Mate.
- If you need to change the parameters use OpticsRE.
- There have been some other s/w interfaces developed, but I have not used.

So, the final chapter in this story boils down to this. Get an older Windows box (XP, Win7). Launch a DOS shell. You can ftp to the MATE3 thus

Code: Select all

ftp 192.186.x.y
where the address is that of the Mate3. When prompted for User enter "public" to log in. You can then type "dir" and will see something like this
ftp.PNG
In a similar way, telnet to the MATE3 from a DOS shell. No login is needed

Code: Select all

telnet 192.168.0.y
and you will see this after typing "help"
telnet.PNG

Cool. I just upgraded one of my PCs from Windows 10 to Windows 7. I'll have to give this a try.
