Circuit breaker info help

Post by Jim L. » Sat Sep 03, 2005 2:29 pm

I'd like to know the manufacturer and series code on Outback DC breakers in the 175A and up range. The series code will be a 2 or 3 letter code identifying the type of circuit breaker.

Thanks in advance
Jim L.

We use circuit breakers by both Carlingswitch and Airpax - although Heinemann also has interchangeable versions of these large DC breakers as well.

The version we use are built to our specification - so the model number listed on them are our own. Some might be labeled with both numbers though.

What specifically did you want to know?

Thanks, Christopher

What I had in mind was the breaker type (magnetic, thermal, thermal magnetic, high performance) and normalized current vs time curve.

Also performance for temperature extremes.

In the case of motors, I'd like to be able to assess starting current vs breaker characteristics.

Best regards
