Resizing PV Array for 3 FM80s

Postby domatic on Wed Sep 13, 2017 12:46 pm

Just got off the phone with Tech Support after 2 blown fans (2 years of use) it appears we are over working our 2 FM80's one showed 5600 watts and other 4500 watts. We originally spec for 33 x 250 watt panels but due to a stock issue we were given 33 x 300 watts. Now it seems that we need to add another FM80 to handle it due to constant fan use.

Our current string setup =

Fm80/1- 3 x LG300 in series parallel of 5
Fm80/2 - 3 x LG300 in series parallel of 6

What would be optimal setup for 3 FM80's

Being new to PV My guess is =

Fm80/1- 3 x LG300 in series parallel of 4
Fm80/2 - 3 x LG300 in series parallel of 4
Fm80/3 - 3 x LG300 in series parallel of 3

Any suggestions, are greatly appreciated.
