Attention Outback -it appears that the Chinese are copying the Flexmax specs with these copies:

At least they aren't putting Outback on the case- there are huge numbers of fake copies of electronic goods coming out of China these days.

Whats amazing is they are charging as much for the fake as you pay for the real thing, If I was buying my first one I might not have even noticed it was a copy cat. I would have been pissed if I ended up with something other then what I thought I was buying.

Notice in the product description that they copied the original Outback text and call it theirs a Flexmax.

Hi

Governments should do more to prevent Chinese copies like this. It dents Outbacks reputation & at worst, could burn someone's house down when it goes wrong, I wouldnt be surprised if the CE papers were all forgeries as well.

Unfortunately this is happening across lots of products, including things like chainsaws which fail European standards testing & could be extremely dangerous to the operator.

However, if anyone outside China tried to copy something Chinese & import as the genuine item they'd be onto them in a shot.
