Sizing Solar Sytem 10KW DC

Post by suryadi » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:27 am

If We want install the solar System For Load DC 10KW, system Voltage 48VDC, PV module 260wp.
the question is :
1. How many CC used? if we choose FM80 (whether the FM80 can used more than 10 units?)
2. How many qty for Mate2 & Hub 10 if used?
3. Wiring diagram for installation?

Thank u & Best regards
Ade

1. How many CC used? if we choose FM80 (whether the FM80 can used more than 10 units?) up to 15 panels for each FM80
2. How many qty for Mate2 & Hub 10 if used? 1-Mate2 and 1-HUB10
3. Wiring diagram for installation? This is no so easy. The people you buy the system from should be willing to provide this information.

1. so the FM80 can used parallel >10 unit of FM80, correct? (I mean usage of FM80 not PV module, for example use 20 FM80 in parallel),
2. If use 10 unit FM80 so only need 1 mate and 1 hub 10. So How much if we use 20 unit fm80?

1, Yes

2, It is the ports in the hub 10 that are the limiting factor, It has 10 +mate  so you can plug 10 components in (FM/FX/FNDC) The one critical point is battery temperature sensing which the hub shares from whatever is in port 1 where the temp sensor is plugged in,

There is no technical limit on how many "10 stacks" of FM`s you could have (You MUST have a temp sensor each though) As for wiring it`s just a case of paralleling them all, Refer to drawing for 1 FM80, PV > Combiner box> 80amp breaker > FM80 > 80amp breaker > batteries, Repeat 9 more times  (be careful if you are Busing to batteries, You will be seeing 800amps, Thats a big busbar  )
