History lost?

Postby JRHill on Mon Jan 04, 2016 5:03 pm

I had to momentarily disconnect the FlexNetDC while making a wiring change. When finished and inserting the 10 pin header to re-power the FlexNetDC, it seems that the current status is now 100% SOC. Not. Dang it? It appears the logged history is gone to the device? It retained nothing?

What else should I have done to protect the memory?

This is normal behavior. Any time the FN-DC loses power and powered back up, it will reset back to 100% SoC. Eventually it will automatically calibrate as your batteries recharge or you may do it manually by going through a full charge cycle then unplugging it and re-plugging it.

Here is good video on the FNDC operation & Programming:

Hope this helps,

Hi Jim,

To expand on what Jorge said, the FN-DC data log remembers all the previous data when powered down. It saves the daily log into non-volatile memory every night at midnight. The logged data for the day that you unplugged the FN-DC will be lost however. To see the data on the Mate3 press the soft key under the battery symbol from the home screen then Next and DataLog. Press -Day to go back into the logged history.

On the Mate3 you can download the FN-DC data log to the SD card in the Mate3 by pressing Lock > 141 Password > Device Data Logs > then select the FLEXnet and upload/save.

Jorge, Kurt,

Thank you for the clarifications. To expand on Kurt's last note, if I need to interrupt/power down the Flexnet and don't want to lose the day's data, I need to upload/save the data manually of the Mate3. Makes sense!

Much appreciated,
Jim
