Help! Need to identify Flexware box and get manual!

Postby Zachrey on Tue Oct 13, 2015 1:35 pm

Help!

I have a silver flexware box that is simple rectangular box about 12" by 18" by 12" roughly. It says Flexware on the front of it and that is about it (circa 2008). There is no other label that gives a model number or a keyword to google! There is a sticker with the round ETL logo and in all caps "Industrial Control Box" which is really helpful. I even spoke with sales and tech support and nobody could identify it. They want me to send them a picture of it... I don't have time for that! My neighbor has no power and they are drumming their fingers.

It is just a simple box and almost everybody out here has them (off grid 633 arce subdivision) and NOBODY at Outback knows what it is?! It might be a FW500 or a FW1000 but they have a weird shape. This is a simple lightweight aluminum box with silver paint with a place to mount the breaker for the inverter, the green thing for the PV panels and asst DC breakers for DC loads.

All I need is a wiring diagram so I can hook it up correctly.

Per the dimensions, it sounds like our FLEXware 500 box. These have a dedicated model for the AC and DC side of the system.

Check out the manual to see which side matches your breaker slots:

The AC side has din rail vs. DC has panel mount breakers.

Thank you, Jorge!

I calmed down a bit and finally discovered it really is a FW500. I did not pay close attention to the checkboxes on the tag.

It would really help to have model numbers (and maybe serial numbers on these products) plainly visible. We want to know who made these things and the make and model so we can get more! :-)

Thanks again and YHWH bless you!
