I wonder which sensor is causing the warning?

There are, IIRC, air temperature, transformer, capacitor, FET sensors in the Inverter.

Would not the faulty sensor be the one which displays a faulty reading on the Mate or OpticRE ????

From my experience with an outback inverter my guess is as good as nothing.
If you go into Mate it shows the temps of 3 sensors.
I've been told if it reads 255 then that is the faulty one.
In my case it was the FET sensor.
Outback were good enough to send me a new complete FET board but I still get the same error.
I'm giving up & am just learning to live with it now.
