Any Off-Grid VFX3524 and (old) Mate systems?

Post by JeffinthePeace » Sun Dec 30, 2018 8:58 am

Hi All -
IÔÇÖm looking to connect (group?) with folks that have a system similar to mine, to compare system performance, and in particular battery charging/equalizing performance.
Anyone?
Please reach out!
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
We have a VFX3024E and an FM60 on a 620ah GEL 24V battery bank (12x2V).
Not sure if we can provide assistance with FLA systems.
Cheers,
Sandy

My RE system: Stacked VFXR3524A inverters for 120/240v, Mate 3, FlexMate charge controllers, 4 Trojan batteries

I have stacked inverters (VFXR3524A) as our well pump is 240v, and a Mate 3. About twice per year the slave inverter goes down on a firmware mismatch error. Ironically it seems to happen around 6 - 7 am. The only way to get the system back to producing 240v power is to reload the firmware on the Mate 3 and then to both inverters. Nothing obviously wrong with any components, wiring etc. Do you think replacing with a Mate 3S is the answer?
