Mate2 with FX3524

Post by lake4fun » Tue Aug 06, 2013 10:27 am

I have a 2006 vintage FX3524 with a Mate2M on my 2006 Sumerset Houseboat. I recently installed a new FX3524 with a Mate2 on another houseboat. I found the menus and summary screens on my Mate2M are not the same on the newer Mate2. Is there any way to have the same summary display as my older Mate2M? I prefer to have the summary display show Amps rather than Kilowatts. I've tried to find the option in the menus with little success. Thanks in advance!

The Mate2M was designed for a few Mobile RV applications. There are only a few OEM that even install them anymore. The difference between the Mate2 and the Mate2M is the display as you know. There is no way to get the Mate2 display setting the same as the Mate2M display. Sorry

The only options that I know of is to find a used Mate2M or new a new one ....... ouch ](*,)

Outback flashed my Mate 2M to the Mate 2 firmware for free. Maybe they would do it the opposite way as well? Just different firmware...

Super tech support! So now your Mate2M is a Mate2.
