I picked up a VFX3048E locally at an estate sale in good condition.
On the device tag, I see that it claims 50Hz @ 230VAC.

Is it possible to convert this inverter to output 60Hz @ 120 or 240VAC?

Thanks guys,
Photon4.

Selling that inverter to buy a 120/60Hz model is probably the cheapest way to convert it. Sorry for the bad news.

Or buy a bunch of CEE Europlug sockets and build your own Swiss Chalet, it'll be like taking a mini European vacation in your own backyard ;-)

Where in the world and what do you want to use it for ? EG 60hz & 230v is often the "norm" in parts of Asia, Apart from motors will run a little slower, most other things do not care ?

I’m in the U.S. - I was looking to use this as a backup alternative to my generator with a large battery bank for running select circuits in my house.

It looks like everyone is recommending that this inverter is not really capable of being changed over to 60Hz. I guess to EBay it goes!
