Mistmatch inverter help

Postby mgattereau on Mon Mar 20, 2017 11:16 am

My original system consist of a vxfr3524 with a mate 3, I decided to go 220 and buy another vxfr3524 off ebay, it only when I reach destination in the Caribbean I noticed the difference in the two inverters. When I plugged them in it would give me the mistmatch error, what would be my best course of action it would cost me too much to bring the inverter back to the states. Should I buy another one of this can be upgraded to the R series? Thank you for all your help.

For them to stack correctly they both need to be VFXR models and with he same firmware.
To check the current firmware version from the MATE3 go to: Lock / Settings / System / Firmware versions. Check for Ports 1 and 7 (were they should be plugged into the HUB10.3) if they are any different you will need to update the firmware. The latest Version is 1.6.15 and can be found here: http://outbackpower.com/catalogs-collat ... ory_id=475

I found that out that they need to be VXFR , My question can I update the VXF to VXFR or do I need to buy a new Inverter.

Unfortunately no. They just don't differ with firmware but also hardware.

You mean unfortunately I have to buy a new inverter.
Ok in case I need to get rid of the VXF can it work without the MATE? Can it work as a standalone

It will operate in stand alone however if you require any MATE functions such as HBX, AGS, Grid Use, etc. or monitoring then it will need to be connected at all times. Btw. FXR's are only compatible with the MATE3.
