low voltage ac out error

Post by philip reynolds » Fri Jan 10, 2014 9:23 am

a system I installed in 2006 ,VFX3000/24 ,has error ,low voltage ac and cuts out . if the generator is started the VFX starts up again and charges ,but cuts out again soon after the generator stops ,showing the same error. I have restarted the inverter several times and checked there is no load on the inverter when it starts -. I think I will have to send the unit to OB service but if anyone has any suggestions I can try first ,I will , thanks

Next to the low ac output error do you get a "Yes" or a "no?"

Also what is the battery voltage when your system cuts out?

yes , on the low voltage error
the battery voltage varies ,but it cuts out even at 28.6vdc

As a final check, I would disconnect AC in & out, turn off DC, then turn DC back on, If it still does it, Yes inverter fault, Worth a call to tech service before sending the whole unit off, There are only 3 boards in VFX, Very easy to change on site, it will only (usually) be one of them,
Gunther keeps most in stock & is typically German when it comes to service
