Aquion Batteries.

Postby sodamo on Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:27 pm

Curious if anyone else here is using the Aquion Batteries.
I installed a set just a month before the announced bankruptcy.
Overall been happy with them.
Two basic concerns. Charging via FM80 CCs. Have 4 chargers and 2 usually change to Silent or Charged fairly early in the day pretty much leaving the charging to remaing two although some days the third one will also drop out. I wouldnt be concerned if i was sure the batteries were being fully charged and that charge being maintained thoughout the sun shining day. I seriously doubt they are, because voltage will drop below my 2min AGS voltage 47.2v sometime during the night requiring the generator to run. This shouldnt be. I have the old house type wattage meter to monitor use and quite often the solar input will be near same as that wattage usage and the generator output extra. Im aware that the FNDC doesnt handle the Aquions well.

Second is more a future question. Does anone have experience/knowledge how Advanced Battery Charging of the newer inverters Radian/FXR handle the Aquions?

Thanks
David

David - This thread viewtopic.php?f=17&t=13422&hilit=+Aquion may or may not be helpful, but at least it's a link to another guy with Aquion battery experience.
