VFX3524M 73 volts on A/C input terminals

I have a VFX3524M that suddenly stopped working. It is 10 years old. It is showing 73 volts on A/C input terminals/bus even though threre is 120 volts on the breaker just before the input terminals. The unit worked reliably for almost 10 years. Why the strange voltage? Someone locally suggested that it is a shorted transformer in the inverter. Does this mean that the inverter must be completely replaced or can it be repaired?

My RE system: 2 Solar arrays, one is a complete Outback system with VFX3524M, MATE2, and Charge Controller. The other has an outback VFX3524M

Is the breaker closed or open? If the breaker is closed it means you have 47V going somewhere else. Have you measured between Neutral and ground?
If the breaker is Open, you could have a back feed either internal or external. To test, remove all AC wires then power up the inverter. You should read 120Vac on AC HOT OUT and if you still read 73Vac on AC HOT IN it could be an internal welded relay which means you will need to replace the AC board of the unit.

Thank you so much for your reply, the breaker is closed, or active to allow grid charging power to the AC input terminals of the inverter. As far as I can tell, the inverter no longer will power up. It just stopped working, no power is getting to any part of the system from the inverter even when I have the DC side active.

There is no voltage between neutral and ground, but I am on my way out there to double check.
