Hurricane Irma Outage

Postby rbrown3rd on Mon Oct 02, 2017 11:14 am

I've had my system for ten years now. On September 10, Hurricane Irma impacted our grid which was out for six days in my neighborhood. I installed my system as an emergency backup in 2007 and this was the first test for an extended period. As far as I can tell, it performed exactly as intended. I thought it might be of interest to read my summary of operating on PV and battery backup. See http://bbbrown.com/2017/09/17/six-days-of-solar-power-summary/.
