Recommendations for a whole house usage meter

Post by marknicolai192 » Mon May 13, 2019 8:38 pm

Hi all,
Looking for recommendations for a whole house usage meter. Preferably a hard wired version (not clamp on) that can be remotely monitored.

My Outback system only monitors grid usage for the portion of the house it is connected to. I would like to be able to monitor the entire load.
Thanks!

Look at 'Open Energy Monitor' there is a 'Shop' that sells multiple devices for monitoring. Open Energy has a forum/community with knowledgable members to assist. This is all based in the UK, but not really an issue too difficult to manage.

There is a recent development of a new hardware item (this based on Raspberry PI) taylored to US split-phase 60Hz markets...not in 'Shop' yet though, but limited time availability offered right now from externally linked site...all this is 'Open Source', check it out
