I have an 18.6 KW gen 2 chevy volt battery configured as 12s8p 44V nominal system
I have set the Flexmax CC at 48V absorb and 48V float
Have set the Flexnet at charged voltage 48V
Have set the GS4048A absorb at 48V and float at 48V
When the system is charging it just blows past these stops and tries to overcharge the batteries
I would like to be able to shut down the solar when the batteries reach 48V
any ideas or Help would be appreciated ](*,)

Unplug the OutBack RTS if you are using it.

If you are trying to charge with both the GS4048A and the FM80 I suggest you reduce the GS charging amps and set the charge voltage targets (Absorb/Float) to a little less than 48V. For the charge controller I would maybe try Absorb at 48V for 0 minutes then drop Float to 47.9V or 47.8V and see how it goes.

I have 0 experience with Volt batteries so I don't know if my advice will help or not. Hopefully, someone with a similar setup can chime in to help you out.

Hello Marscan

I run a Second Generation Chevy Volt battery as well.
I run a 14s7p setup. Charged voltage is 57.5 or 4.10 volts per cell.
To do this I had to reconfigure the pack to suit my choice of voltage. Pain in the ass to do this I tell you.
Here are my settings that I use on the inverter for charging and the charge controllers.
FM60 Settings
Absorb Voltage: 57.5 VDV
Absorb Time: 0 hours
Absorb End Amps: 0
Re-Bulk Voltage: 52 volts
Float voltage 57.4
Current Limit: 60 Amps
EQ Voltage 60 VDC
EQ time: 1 hour
Auto EQ: 0 days
NEVER EQ A LITHIUM PACK.
Inverter Settings:
Absorb Voltage: 57.6
Absorb Time: 0 hours
Float Voltage: 57.2
Float Time: 0 hours
Re Float Voltage: 52 Volts
EQ Voltage: 60 Volts
EQ Time: 0 hours
NEVER EQ A LITHIUM BATTERY

I do not use the RTS temp sensor.
The settings I have work great I have never had the CC or the inverter blow past the settings.
When the battery is close to being fully charged I can see the CC throttle back and eventually float and then say charged.
When there is sufficient load on the battery it will wake up and start to supply DC voltage to the load being placed on the inverter.

Thinking the issue is with your charge units.

I also have a Volt bank from two 2011 cars, 12s16p.

Using a Victron MPPT charge controller and associated shunt and have never had an issue when the charger going over the set settings for FLOAT.

My settings are:

Absorption: 48.6
Float: 48.5
Equalization: OFF

Been running them for almost a 10 months with no issues, under or over charge.

How you tried confirming the individual packs reading with a meter and compared it to what the chargers state?
Are you using a BMS that could be faulty?

Success;
Thank you all.
CC reached 48V and signaled that it was charged and stopped charging.
All of my settings were pretty close to all of your recommendations.
So; I think that disconnecting the RTS inside the Radian was the kicker.
BMS seems fine although about 1V off from the meter
