Re: silly question re: dashboard display

Yes i would have thought so too . I see you have a flexnet dc ..... I dont have the flexnet on my system , but maybe something there . Maybe unplug the ethernet from the flexnet to disable it and see what happens .

Re: what should the peak amperage be

Depends on lots of things , but seems low . . Panell angle to sun , compass direction to sun,. loads on system , health of batterys , a bad panel in a string will drop the whole string down . a visual look at panels to start with , check all connections . Try a big load at midday sun and see if the ...

Re: FM 80 overcharging batteries ?

what is your fm 80 firmware . Older levels had a problem . However this over voltage may be momentary . I dont think a transitory over voltage is a problem . Continued overvoltage s a problem .

Re: FM80

yep . my fm 80 hard copy manual is marked 900-0082-01-00REV A . Watts is amps times volts . So say 15 volts times 80 amps = 1200 watts. Maybe derated because it is hard to control to not go over the 80amps . However in the real world probably ok with 1250 watts. Although i think my 24 volt system hi...

Re: Voltaje fluctuation during absorb

that seems to be alot of battery for the amount of solar you have . How many amps can your fm80 provide to your batterys in reasonably continuous manner .?
Parallel strings can cause uneven charging . can you isolate 2 strings and see how it performs on each string . maybe a bad string

Re: First Solar Setup. Flex 80 Review

parallel strings are very hard to keep balanced . one string may most likely get charged and discharged differently from the other strings .
It can be helped with care in battery cable lengths on the strings.
