Re: AC coupled - batteries not charging from solar array during outage

Yes, definitely change the Radian response time up to 5 seconds.

PG&E would require the Rule 21 profile. Other places have varying requirements on this and other settings. SolarEdge may have set it to the Rule 21 profile when they updated your firmware.

Re: AC coupled - batteries not charging from solar array during outage

If it has the latest firmware, you can adjust the Frequency-Watt configuration to optimize for your particular use case and system. The adjustments are nested under a menu labelled "P(f)", which stands for power as an function of frequency.

Re: AC coupled - batteries not charging from solar array during outage

I will leave the voltage settings to the manual and the battery manufacturer specifications. There are probably other threads on here about programming for GH batteries, or elsewhere on the internet, from people with more experience than myself. And yes, Battery Sampling Time, thank you. As long as ...

Re: AC coupled - batteries not charging from solar array during outage

Fair. What is your frequency response time set to? Since it's protected by the 4 digit installer password, I can't see it from OPTICS. This is the setting on the AC Coupling screen that allows 0.02 to 5 seconds. Changing the nominal "full" voltage targets, in simplistic terms, would just cause your ...

I've heard that if there a difference in electric potential between the user and the MATE device, it can affect the wheel. Try touching its metal bracket while using the wheel.

Nice! I believe you just need the OPTICS user name and password for that site from the seller to login and change the name and other settings.

Re: New to me FLEXpowerTWO

Okay, if the MATE3S cannot connect, changing the MAC address would not help. Your router is supplying a steady internet connection to your desktop computer? And you have the MATE3S plugged into an identical port on the router? And there is no firewall or other special securities on the network? And ...

Re: New to me FLEXpowerTWO

Hey Mike, now that you have the MATE3S connected to the router, have you tried unplugging it from power and plugging it back in? Once it powers up with a live connection to the internet, and DHCP enabled (default), it should automatically connect to its old OPTICS site. You can check by pressing the...

I'm not sure what the warranty period was at that time, but our tech support team will know. No need to go through your dealer if it is in warranty.

Re: Mate 3 power up failure

Shoot, well, if it's in warranty, file a tech support case and they will replace it with a MATE3S. If it is not in warranty, purchase a MATE3S to replace it.

Re: Mate 3 power up failure

Hi insequent, turns out I was misinformed on the MATE3 method, as I mostly deal with MATE3S these days. The correct method is to simply insert the SD card, and hold the "UP" button for about 4 seconds until the screen changes to "Wait Ethernet Process Init". Make sure not to unplug the unit while it...

Hey Raysun, I did not read your post closely enough.

Sandy is correct, if one of the FM80s has unoccupied AUX output terminals, see page 27 of the manual for your programming options.

I will add that the FM100 has battery voltage sense wire terminals that a) improve voltage accuracy and b) ensure all charge controllers in a system are voltage-coordinated.

Make sure you have only the latest firmware loaded onto the SD card according to the instructions. Then, unplug the device, hold down the PORT button, and plug it back in while holding that button until you see the bootloader.

I thought this was going to be a rant about ~millenials~ when I saw the title! Wasn't Hawaii the first state to set a 100% target?
