Re: Calibrating FM CC's--one volt off

When you are reading the CC battery voltage is the CC charging the batteries/ is there sun out? I wonder if you are looking at it during charging where you need a higher voltage at the CC to push current to the batteries? Our FM100, for example, have a battery sense leads that more accurate reads th...

Re: Calibrating FM CC's--one volt off

From the manual: Vbatt Calibration Default 0.0 Vdc Range: -0.5 to 0.5 Vdc Maxmium is that 0.5 from 0. A couple things come to mind: - Check the connections to make sure they are not loose. 1Vdc on one CC seems like a lot. -Which screen and which menu are you reading the voltage @ 55.5Vdc: - Do you h...

Re: PV turns off when charging batteries

Can you elaborate how you are making the AC subpanel connections in the GSLC? It looks like you have it connected to an FNDC? Earlier, you said it was a GFDI. Aren't both of these DC? I am asking because I am in the midst of retrofitting an AC coupled system like this but have an ROCB in my GSLC wh...

Re: PV turns off when charging batteries

pss: Did you happen to go to the webinar this last Friday? I think the inverters you're questioning is at the top right hand, which is on the AC Output? I can't give my "approval" of the system as a whole, but as long as the GTI is on the AC Output, it should work. The Radian output will frequency s...

Are you giving the Webinar?
I believe it's the talented, very experienced Mark Mays giving this presentation. For those who don't know him, he's our AC Coupling expert for many years. He worked closely on testing the new AC Coupling functionality.

Re: PV turns off when charging batteries

If a microinverter is connected to the AC output of the Radian, helping to supply loads along with the Radian and the Radian's charger is ALWAYS OFF (charging of batteries by PV only), how can the Radian's charger potentially overcharge the batteries under this condition? The Radian Charger setting...

Re: PV turns off when charging batteries

The GFDI is a DC breaker, but you have your AC output from the PV inverters going through them? The PV is connected to the PV bus and it's connected to the output of the inverter, what happens between the PV bus and the Output Bus? There might not be some type of sensing or disconnect with the AC co...

Re: PV turns off when charging batteries

IÔÇÖm not an expert on the Enphase Microinverters, but it looks like they output AC ? When you connect them to the PV bus, where does the PV bus go to from there? I think those busses normally are there to tie into the DC side or the Charge controller (if you have one) Where in the system does it ti...

Re: PV turns off when charging batteries

It sounds like you may have an AC coupled system? Where do your micro inverters connect in the system? How does it interface with the inverter? What AC Input Mode are you in?

Also, I can't find your OpticsRE system name. Is there perhaps a typo in your profile?

Set EQ timer = 0 this will ensure that no time is dedicated to EQ charge. Some people set their EQ voltage = Absorb Voltage just as an extra step of precaution.

Grid Zero mode works with one inverter per phase. So for a FP2 model A, that means one inverter one each 120Vac phase. In other words, one Master per phase.

Re: New guy looking for info on 2 cc

Three things I would check would be: -Ensure both CC have same battery charging settings -The calibration ( both CC see the same Battery Voltage? If not, on CC may see a different voltage that may cause it to sleep prematurely, or behave differently) You can calibrate each CC to ensure they read the...

Do you have a Remote Temperature Sensor connected to your FM charge controller that is then routed to the batteries to sense the battery temperature?
