Using the Aux relay of charge controller or even the FNDC's will work but you will be limited by functionality. You can't have the AGS features like Must Run, SOC start etc. What you can do well with CC/FNDC is start and stop the generator. Or use your imagination in tailoring the AUX features of CC...

Since you have 4 batteries in series, the total capacity is still 385 AH, not 1540.
How to determine if some cells are bad? You need a hydrometer and take a reading on each cap. A fully charged cell should have a specific gravity of around 1.265.

Don't underestimate the Washington state sunshine :smile: On a good sunny day, you can get around 15A from your 240W solar panel using an MPPT charge controller. And say, the voltage is the same 14V, you have 210 watts there.

Confused here. An AGM battery does not have refillable caps on it. How did you manage to pour distilled water? Drilled some holes?

There is an obvious mistake in Curtis' from Bat and To Bat numbers. Ideally, in your system with no load, if your solar production is 3kwh, your To Bat numbers should be equal or almost equal 3kwh. Shunts are used by FNDC to monitor current primarily. Calculations of SOC, etc come next. Shunts has very little or nothing to do with the charging operation of charge controllers.

If your batteries are connected in series, your battery bank will become a 370aH, 48V nominal voltage system. If your batteries are connected in parallel, your battery bank will become a 2960aH, 6V nominal voltage system.

If the input PV voltage is below 150VDC, there will be no harm to the charge controller even if the PV system wattage exceeds the designed PV kw input, (at least in theory). Going over 150VDC on the PV output is one cause to damage the FETS. Another cause can be the accidental opening of battery breaker to FM60, then re-closing it.. FM60/80 "prefers" to be powered down PV first, battery second and powered up battery first, PV second.

Your symptoms indicate the FETS were damaged. Just turn on the battery breaker and leave the PV off. The PV IN voltage should slowly rise to at least 3/4 of battery voltage. If it stays at zero, time to contact Tech Support for repairs.

The hub should only have one FNDC in the system. You have two in the drawing, and I assume both of these FNDCs are connected to the same battery bank?. It might work (at your own risk) because the AC sine waves generated are "artificial" unlike the sine waves generated by real AC generators. But paralleling two different battery based inverter brands is not Outback's definition of AC Coupling.

The PV IN voltage that shows up with just the battery breaker ON is normal. It is actually the measured voltage charge on the 3 main capacitors. With just the battery ON, it will always be less than the battery bank voltage.

The size of cables that go from battery bank to Radian can be a factor too. Make sure they are of adequate size.
