Re: NiFe Batteries vs Reclaiming Rolls Bank

I do not know what a BLS is, but I assume it is a type of desulphator circuit. I have brought one 12v cluster back up somewhat by kicking it hard with a car battery charger when the rest of the bank was low. It worked somewhat but I was too nervous it leave it on more than a few monitored days. You ...

I don't know what firmware you are using.

03.015.03 doesn't exist AFAIC yet and you didn't answer when questioned about it.

Re: Why upgrade from Mate to Mate3?

Thanks for your reply. The USB card is to connect the Mate to my PC. I'm running a logging program ("Winverter") with a nice graphic representation of my system on it now through the serial port on the Mate (it has no ethernet capability). There's probably ways to do the same thing on a Mate3 over ...

hi guys, i have 6 mate 3 for a proyect, Many people here have the same problem. OB is working on it very slowly. My v003.015.000 works fine to stay connected. I guess I am just one of the lucky ones. Where did you get 03.015.03 firmware? Have you added anything to your LAN recently? Static IP addre...

Re: Why upgrade from Mate to Mate3?

I have a Mate3 and once Alpha gets these last few bugs out it will be great.

Alas I have never known a Mate so I have no comparison.

What is the USB card for?

Re: MX-60 Auto EQ

I gave up on auto equalise. I only do it manually when I can control it. My system was locked up a few times and never shut off and I wasted days of solar production. Now I only equalise after adding water and on grid power. With four chargers there is always one or two that just won't shut off agai...

Read the forum lately?

What have you been doing in the past? This isn't a new problem. It's been going on for a few years I have owned an OB Mate3.

God!!! it always "OFFLINE"... @#$%xxx Strange mine is so much better with v3.15 I don't think it has ever disconnected where it didn't reconnect within a few hours. It may have had to do with my router also. It seems to be overheating on hot days, when we get them this spring. It's cramped in a cab...

Also, yesterday I lost the connection to OpticsRE sometime mid-morning. But I don't do the hard reset anymore with the reboots set at 4 hr intervals. Last night it still wasn't connected. This AM it had still been off the whole time so I did the unplug/replug. This was new behavior since the 3.15 f...

Re: Understanding Grid-Tied Power Flow

Welcome to the forum! First you must know there is loses in a system like this. If I produce about 3000 Watts of power from my PV The CCs lose very little. I guess about 1-3%, judging by the heat put out. The batteries, when charging and then discharging, are at different voltages so that you charge...

I am simply asking how to configure the system so i can produce 240 with x-240 p...

Re: GFX Inverter/charger failure

That implies that the inverter does still work ? Try turning off the AC breakers & rebooting DC side ? Error ? AC voltage ?
Otherwise ask OB if they can send you both the boards & try, Bit of luck it may only be ( the cheaper) one blown

Re: Outback series/parallel vfx3648 and single phase generat

AS above I cannot understand what the configurations is. I take you have disconnected the old 3524 to put in two 3648 inverters since they are not compatible in any way to run together. You are running a generator and using the inverter charger(s) to charge your batteries and watching the CC units? ...

Re: New FNDC data mismatch with old equipment

LOL. I didn't make any comments about voltage not being critical. Current? yes. A single shunt application would not have the same problems as mine with three shunts. This sounds like you may have your shunt wired backwards. If you feed the CC current into the shunt from the side not connected to th...
