Re: SkyBox Functional Q's

I chose to go with the grid vs the generator. my reasoning? if the inverter goes down for extended duration, I rather lean on the grid to power the backed up loads and avoid the generator runtime and the noise. also, the generator would need to be sized appropriately as well. I ended up using MidNi...

Re: SkyBox Functional Q's

Sorry for the delayed response from my experiment. I turned off the breaker for the 48v pack and the lights stayed on. Then I turned off the Inverter by touching the on/off button on the screen and the lights went off ie. the load to the critical loads panel was dropped. I tried restarting the inver...

Re: SkyBox Functional Q's

That is a good question that I have wondered about myself. All the connections are made in the lower BOS section and the actual relays are located on the circuit boards in the upper section. My understanding is there are no user serviceable parts in the upper section so if something goes wrong you h...

Re: SkyBox Functional Q's

My limited experience with a Skybox is that you do not need a separate bypass. The Skybox is capable of running without batteries unlike the Radian which I previously used. I have turned off the battery breaker when doing some maintenance on the pack and the critical loads panel continues to be fed ...

Re: OpticsRE - Device Support Survey

Relay integration would be great, also some integration with IFTTT. I have a grid tie system and also have a battery backed Skybox. Relays would give me the ability to control some loads such as super off peak charging and heat pump. I am on a TOU rate in California and want to use as little of the ...

PMB - PV Impedance OOR

I recently started getting this message. Or at least it is the only remaining Alert that I am getting, now that I am not getting AFCI messages. I have no PV installed but I recently changed the default configuration of panels. Perhaps that may have caused the error messages? I previously reported th...

Re: PMB - AFCI Alerts on Skybox

Yes, I had a #64 Alert and a #4 Alert. I connected the AFCI cable and and after thoroughly rereading the commissioning instructions I also put a jumper on the RSD plug. Is there a troubleshooting FAQ somewhere with Alert codes or are we developing it here? Note to tech support, this is case #123363 ...

Re: PMB - AFCI Alerts on Skybox

I have no PV installed, so why am I getting these alerts? My system does show 2 strings of panels and I cannot clear that information in the menu for PV tile. Did I understand from the Webinar correctly that the system does not use this information (at least not for MPPT)? I do show 4 Input and 64 O...

PMB - AFCI Alerts on Skybox

I continue to get these alerts (AFCI Alarm tripped) and my main screen continues to show a yellow (ON/OFF) symbol and the system status continues to show a Fault status. I have cleared them on the control panel but they are still in the log. I reported this on Dec 12th as Case #123363. At that time ...

Thanks, that was helpful, however the remote login password you sent me via PM did not work.
Not all settings on the Skybox are available on OPTICSRE and some settings on OPTICSRE do not take on the Skybox.
PV shows configured on OPTICSRE and disabled on Skybox. PV is not installed.

I got the Skybox commissioned, first on just DC battery power.
