Re: Questions Regarding Firmware Updates

So, should I update the firmware? If so, what is the recommended version that I should install? What improvements can I expect given my operational scenario? And finally, will I lose any features that I currently have if I update? Hello Keith, I would recommend updating your FXR firmware version to...

Re: GS8048 vs GS8048A. Differences are?

The "A" models are a bit more flexible in charging settings that make it lithium friendly vs. the non-A is really designed for led-acid battery banks. The "ABC" charging capabilities allows the user to have a wider range of voltages. For example the absorb voltage range in a "A" model is 44V-64V vs....

Re: GS8048 vs GS8048A. Differences are?

Hello, Some of the major differences... The "A" version has one additional Grid AC Input mode called Grid Zero design for self consumption applications. It's frequency is also adjustable 50/60Hz. Also the "A" version is only compatible with the new Grid Support UL1741SA requirements currently in Cal...

Hello,
Typically this is an indication of low irradiance or possibly a loose connection. Your solar array should maintain the voltage up to its Vmp.

Hello,

The turbo fan will turn on based on the internal temperature of the Inverter.
Your Internal air temp will need to reach >90c to turn on.

Re: DC LED on FX3048T master

Hi, Sounds like the LED from your Surge Protector. You may just forgot to connected it back into the DC terminals of the master inverter. The DC LED is lit based on battery voltage so if your Inverter is receiving good DC voltage plus working properly then it may just be a connection issue. The same...

The MATE3 saves all it's data in its non-volatile memory so you won't loose any settings by swapping the battery.

Re: Why is date/time lost whenever Mate3 is disconnected?

Hi,

The MATE3 comes with a small round lithium battery to keep the time, the time should be kept even if the MATE3 power cycles. It could be possible that the battery needs replacing. It would be worth checking it out, you will need to remove the Phillips screws from it's back.

That is correct. Your B Phase Master goes on Port 4. Also make sure your jumper configuration is set for 3-Ph.

Re: Series Stacking Dual Stack

HI, Sounds like your AC source is 3 phase or each phase is 120 degrees out of phase from each other. The stacking configuration has to match the AC source which is why you are experiencing that behavior. L2 Phase Master = 180 degrees out of phase and used for split phase sources B or C Phase Master ...

As long as you are an Admin, you can delete any of your registered Optics sites.
From the site level look to the far right of the screen, you should see "X" buttons. If you hover you mouse over them they become bold. Click on any of the level you wish to delete.

Re: VFX3524M 73 volts on A/C input terminals

It is showing 73 volts on A/C input terminals/bus even though threre is 120 volts on the breaker just before the input terminals. Is the breaker closed or open? If the breaker is closed it means you have 47V going somewhere else. Have you measured between Neutral and ground? If the breaker is Open,...

Re: Connecting Honda eu2000i to GS4048a inverter?

The Radian requires a split phase 120/240Vac input so if you EU generator only puts out single phase 120Vac you will need to step it up to 240Vac.
You may also need to reduce your current input limit since your source is 2000W or ~8.3Aac at 240V

Hello Nathan,

Only one FNDC per system can be installed. You may however, parallel multiple sources to a single shunt as long as you don't exceed it's current rating.

Correct, Rev 68 would be the newer one. Fan not coming on would be a reason to replace it. So the reason I would want to upgrade the other is the avoid trouble, right? Re: FX firmware update required?

Hi Steve,

Since the units cannot be field up gradable the only way to update the firmware is to replace the control board with one with Rev 68. Or sending in the unit to have it updated. If of coarse you want to pursue the FW update.

If you are using the X240 for balancing L1 and L2 you will need to configure your stacking as "Outback".
Port 1: 1-2 Ph Master
Port 2: OB Slave L2

Hello Jefferey,

DC IN light sounds like your surge protector. The light will not illuminate if there is no DC voltage detected from your batteries which explains why your master is turned off. Check for tripped breakers and measure voltage directly at the Inverters DC terminals.

You can connect any other charge controller that will accommodate the size of your array. Keep in mind if you use a non-OutBack controller, you will not be able to monitor or control it through OB's communications MATE3 device. The Radian has limited amount of breaker knockouts and bus bars so depen...

Re: connecting 2 arrays to one charge controller?

Can one I combine one of the house arrays with the shed array in the GSLC so that one of the Flexmax controllers is being fed by 2 arrays? This will conflict with the MPPT algorithm and will most likely not work efficiently. The recommendation is to add an additional charge controller for the third...
