Maybe it is the Mate3s calculated kWh based on it seeing the kW into/out of the inverter over time from either AC or battery?

Nice! Presumably you're monitoring that remotely, via the net. I see you're in Victoria, OZ. Hope the wildfires aren't anywhere near your cabin  Luckily we are in range of a fixed wireless internet tower so we can monitor the battery bank. Thankfully our cabin is on the coast south of Melbou...

Mate3 shows input voltage of 116V ? G power input of .1 to .3W ??? yes, less than 300W running. MATE3 shows discharge and NO input. Is the 3648 CAPABLE of greater internal charge capacity ? 240V or ONLY 115V ? Does the Mate show that the inverter is charging the batteries when the generator is on or...

My question is, what happens to the Flexmax 60 and VFX2812 when they are outputting power to the connected batteries and suddenly the batteries are disconnected? Are they able to handle this? Re: Auto gen start instructions?

My question about the generator was independent of your system , i.e. what would be the "ideal" desired loading on the generator to balance efficiency and logevity and not over-work it. From memory, gensets do best when at 75% of their max rating so that does equate to around 5,250W for your EU7000...

The better options are to either : 1) When charging by genset and you get to the absorb phase start your house loads that draw the most power, washing machine etc. 2) If you have limited RE charging (solar/wind) then run the geset to do the Bulk phase of battery charging and then switch it off and h...

Re: Am I treating my batteries properly?

As stated, with flooded batteries your best to use a hydrometer and periodically check the SG of each battery's electrolyte to confirm that they are all getting a suitable charge (ie no poor connections etc.) Based on your summary of voltage readings you seem to only be using about 4-5% of the batte...

Given there has already been a lot of money invested in this I suggest, at a minimum, you get a Mate2 ($220-250 online) so you can set up the system properly and see what the inverter/charger is doing. Once you stop battery charging the voltage will drop as the inverter will have a 25W load on the b...

So I've noticed that my system only charges the batteries to about 53-54 volts during the day, even when there's little draw. Given the little use and SoC at 100% then it looks reasonable.
You may have expected the battery voltage to go to 27.2V (battery spec Float voltage setting).
What Float voltage do you have set on your charge controller?
