Re: How do I tell if my RTS is working

A replacement RTS has fixed the problem. There was no obvious fault with the old one, do these things go bad often?

How do I tell if my RTS is working

I have a RTS attached to my system, and I used to be able to see my temperature in OpticsRE
Some time ago I stopped seeing the temp, I thought this was due to a change in OpticsRE, but when someone recently posted a pic of their system it showed temperature, hence my question now.

Re: Gen from Manual to Auto

I use OpticsRE to toggle the generator from AUTO to ON, and then when running, back to AUTO, it always stops when I expect it to.

The fan doesnt run to burn off anything, it runs because the FX80 is working and is in need of cooling/airflow

Just to note that the spurious offline/online events appear to have ceased as of last weekend, no changes made at my end.

Re: Gateway offline / online every 30 min?

Since 15 Feb I appear to have been having many more offline/online events reported than previously (0 in the preceding 10 days), not the 30 min frequency mentioned above, but definitely much higher.

Re: Flexmax 80 Chargers front panel info

You should validate that all settings are the same between the 2 controllers, it sounds like your earlier one may have had changes from the default, and the new not. Also, you should ensure the controller voltage is correctly calibrated.

Re: FET board testing

Whilst I cant comment upon your question as I don't have the knowledge, as an observation this does not sound like coincidence to me. I'd review very carefully any and all settings in the mate3, and if you have not already done so, perform a factory reset before connecting this to your system again,...

Re: 'Please wait while loading configuration' sits forever

I too have this problem, and have had for some time (maybe since 3.11), but I have FM60s rather than FM80s, is the problem also related to FM60? Id really like to get my local access back.

Re: Setting Up Home Router and Modem for OpticsRE

without knowing your system specifics, I suspect hat you need to tweak your DHCP device/server to assign to the mate3 macaddr the same IP address that you had set statically

You quote
When I look back on the daily data screens, the system has never registered any time in float or absorb.
but the pic immediately above shows the controller in float. Are you meaning the daily data screens on the controller?

I am very concerned about the foreign language spam posts on this forum site and would appreciate comment from Optics RE support that the integrity of the OpticsRE interface to MY equipment is not compromised in any way by this and that whatever is allowing the spam on this site is being remediated

A higher voltage will result in less loss over greater distance with small gauge wiring = better
Wire in series up to the max v the FX is rated for

I hope someone corrects me as I too would be interested in similar functionality, but I don't think you have missed anything in the programming. The upside is that with both solar and the generator, the charge time should be reduced

Re: Proposals for System Expansion

a hub allows outback devices to talk to each other, I suspect you will almost certainly will have a hub of some sort currently to allow your current mate to coordinate, and probably a hub10 given the number of devices you have. http://www.outbackpower.com/outback-products/manage-the-system/hub-commu...

Re: Proposals for System Expansion

Hi,
I'd suggest a mate3, FM80, and as many new panels of your flavor of choice as the FM80 can support (assumption is that you have a hub10 already to allow everything to talk)
