AGS fault clearing

A customer's Radian w/MATE3 has an AGS fault of NO AC due to a delayed generator start. But the MATE3 will not start the generator now. The Events have been acknowledged, but the AGS fault remains. I don't see any way in the manual to clear this fault. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

FP1 AC breaker space

IÔÇÖd like to install two AC circuit breakers in the FP1 AC load center. The manual and other diagrams donÔÇÖt seem to show space for more breakers, except knockouts under the FNDC (which I donÔÇÖt use and could remove). Can this be done? Do "panel mount" breakers fit in these knockouts, or are DIN ...

Use of X240 with single GVFX3548

I have a customer who would like a grid tie system with backup and I'd like to use the FLEXpower One panel with an X240 transformer to run the 240v well pump during power outages. I understand the X240 should not be used in grid tie systems, but I assume that's for input. Is there any reason the X24...

Re: FM60 hydro charge control, diversion load

Tall Girl,

Thanks, but the system is an older SW single inverter, without a FN-DC, and I don't want to install one. Any other suggestions?

FM60 hydro charge control, diversion load

Greetings, I'm adding an FM60 hydro charge controller (100vDC hydro input) to an existing 24v off grid PV system with a newly installed FM60 PV charge controller. I had planned to also use the hydro FM60 AUX output to activate a relay for a well pump diversion load. The flooded lead acid battery ban...

FM80 overcharging flooded LA battery bank

A customer reports his 12v battery bank was overcharged by the FM80 (SNX000192, Q3 08) to over 16v and his SW 2512 inverter cut out due to High Battery Cut Out (over 16v.) The system includes 8 Solarex MSX77 75w modules (two series of four) and 8 Shell SQ75 75 watt modules (two series of four) (1,20...

FM80 operating temperature range

A recently installed FM80 (#FM8000001 - gee, is this the first production unit!?) became non-functional (display was a jumble of characters and solid squares, no charging current) until reset by turning off battery power to it momentarily. This unit is inside an small insulated power shed with no ve...

Off grid now, grid tie later

Greetings,

Is it possible to install GFX inverters in an off grid system now, and open up the AC parameters to accept generator power, and return to default parameters later to allow grid tie?

Thanks,

Mounting box for flush mount MATE2

I see the previous post, but nothing specific for an in-wall mounting box for a flush mount MATE2. What standard box should be used so there is conduit for the CAT5 cable and the MATE2 screws into the box corners flush with sheet rock?

Thanks,

Thanks, I'll check it out again. The second meter does run backwards very slowly when the system is selling about 1.3kW (there is 1.6kW solar and a 7.5kW wind turbine.) So I suspect we have it wired wrong (although it's be checked twice already) or the meter is bad.
Thanks for the reply. Randy

Green Tag metering

I recently downloaded the revised Green Tag meter diagram and it still does not mention that a 5th jaw adapter receptacle is needed for the meter base. It would be nice to give folks a heads up about that. We have a PS2 system net metered with two GVFX3648s. The Green Tag meter for the Master seems ...

GFX Green Tag metering

Christopher, et al, Please add a note to your Green Tag meter wiring diagram that the meter base requires an adapter for the 5th prong (neutral) of the meter. Standard meter bases don't have these, and the meter won't work without it. The 5th prong adapter is available from the meter sources you lis...

GVFX 12/48v relay for AUX

Thanks for the prompt feedback. I have already tried a NAPA 12v, 20 amp relay. It initially worked but quit within a week. I looked at all the web sources you recommended, but did not find a 12v/48v relay. I recall seeing a relay recommended in some OutBack literature or on the forum, but now I can'...

GVFX 12/48v relay for AUX output

Do you have a recommendation for a 12/48v relay (including source) to use with the AUX output to control a 48v battery vent fan? Next time I'll just use a 12v fan so it can be controlled directly with the AUX output, but for the current system we already have a 48v fan and 1 amp breaker. Thanks!

PS2AC compatible relay

Scott,

Thanks for the quick reply. The Grainger web site says the 5ZH14 relay is discontinued and recommends replacing it with the 4FE17 relay, which has the same specs but also has a mechanical flag indicator - even better! :) Thanks, Randy

PS2AC compatible relay for gen start

Christopher: Bill H & I are designing a system to operate with an existing 1963 Onan generator with Automatic Demand Control. We'd like to use a 12v/120v relay activated by the AUX relay on the FX to activate the Onan Auto Demand Control. Bill says he saw a relay in an OutBack display that fits into...
