Re: FeNi batteries and Outback CC settings

I see a scrollbar on the right and I don't see the "footer/status bar" of the browser or the bottom of that browser page. What happens if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page?

Re: Post any forum strangeness here

What happened to the new look we had the other day ? I quite liked it The Recent Post section has been something I've been working on getting back up for awhile. It was working well on the testing server, but when implemented on the live one, there was a database load issue. It's back to testing to...

Re: Post any forum strangeness here

Electron,

I was running some pretty big backups on the database prior to today's upgrade, this would make for some slow load times. I will be doing the same tonight and Sat. now that things are updated, so expect a few more slow downs.

Re: outbackpower.com internet access very slow..

Just to let everyone know, we have been checking with our hosting company into the slowness and down time of the OutBack site. After some initial resistance, our hosting provider disclosed that they are currently undergoing a large upgrade of their storage/host equipment. This was the direct cause o...

iannehi , This is a public forum, most of the people that contribute to it are doing so because they want to help others as well as learn more for themselves. String Sizing Tool for MX and FM Charge Controllers

A member of our Technical Service group (forum Username Erik) has written a string sizing applet for the MX60 and FM80. I've temporarily posted it at the following location: String Sizing Tool . Eventually it will be moved to under the Resources tab on our website. If you have any comments or panels...

Re: Post any forum strangeness here

Bowsandarrows, I was checking through the logs looking for the cause of your problem and nothing jumped out at me. If you get a chance, next time this happens, please take a quick note of the time displayed by the board (upper left hand corner of the main page). This will help me narrow down the log...

Up and running with the new host

Well we survived the move pretty much intact! There are some missing smilies that I'll have to upload, but everything else should be working. I've started a sticky thread: http://www.outbackpower.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2771 for anyone to report anything that might not be working right. Scott

Forum down time 5/30/08

The forum will be down starting at 12pm PST today for approximately 24hrs. We are moving to a new host! It will take ~24hrs. for DNS records to be updated, and to rule out any lost posts during the move, shutting down the forum is the best idea. There are a few other changes to the website that you ...

Upcoming changes to OutBackÔÇÖs User Forum

Recently the forum software (phpBB) that we use has undergone a major upgrade to 3.0. Just an update, I'm still working the double post issue. Some of you might have noticed the site was down wed. It was an unrelated (I think) hardware problem at our host. On a related subject, I was rebuilding the forum search tables and noticed that the 28th most used word on this forum is "jim", a...

A quick note on selling things on the OutBack Forums One of the things that I've really liked about working in this industry is the willingness of people to connect and offer help to others. These OutBack forums have been a continual reminder of that. The downside is that as the forums have become m...
