Re: Mate3 Modbus

If you disable opticsre, youÔÇÖre going to see a 60sec 80sec cycling, meaning, itÔÇÖll connect for 80 seconds, disconnects for 60 seconds, or vice versa.

Re: Mate3 Modbus

Good, thatÔÇÖs an improvement. ThereÔÇÖs a sunspec script on the pymodbus site, in examples/contrib. It should give you a list of connected devices.

Re: Mate3 Modbus

That's what i was trying to ascertain, if the address he's trying to connect to, is on the same network as his machine.

Re: Mate3 Modbus

Hi. I think the mate 3 defaults to getting an IP address by DHCP, and unless your local network is 192.168.0.x, and gives a .64 address to the mate 3, you'll get no connection. What's the IP address of the machine you're using to connect to the mate 3?

Re: MATE3 and Modbus

The state of the Opticsre connection affects the Ethernet on the Mate 3 and not the AXS port. I can confirm, if Opticsre is disabled on the Mate 3, it will behave like you're seeing.

Re: MATE3 Data String Interpretation

Hi Art,
The info between the [] is the MAC address of the mate 3. The first number after the < is the hub port number. The next number is the device number. The data in the first set of <> is for a radian inverter, and the second set is a charge controller.

The default settings is on page 17 of the manual. I agree that dhcp should be the default.

Re: Connecting to and discovering AXS IP.

Hi,
For the modbuspoll application, the default settings do not work. The registers start at 40000, the total number of registers will vary according to number and type of devices that its talking to. I just tried, I can be pinged.

Re: poor BTS/RTS sample resolution and rounding confuses FM80

Hi,
I have seen the same thing with my FM60. A friend said that his company saw the same thing in their battery charging systems and fixed it by averaging the RTS values for a time period.

Re: Spurious high readings

Hi TG, I have seen this also. From my observation it happens on shunts B and C (charge controller, battery charger) and not A (inverter). I see a +25.5 amps also on shunts B and C. It seems to happen out of of PV charging time. This post saw it as well http://www.outbackpower.com/forum/viewtopic.php...

This is not my experience. My mate2 uses the FNDC voltage.

Re: Help understanding my discharge!

Hi, I see the same thing with my FN-DC. For this kind of behavior as a battery monitor, it is better not having one. fatheadl This usually indicates that the "Parameters Met" parameters are set incorrectly. Do you have your battery bank capacity set correctly? What do you have as your "Return amps"...

Re: BCF settings ?

Hi All,
I think that unless the FNDC reaches "FULL SETTINGS MET", The SOC will be always off. From using the link 10, I set "parameters met time" to at least 5 mins.

Hope this helps
