Re: Lithium Battery Options BMW 28.8 Volts

Hello I use a 2017 Chevy Volt Battery on my 48-volt system. If you do a search on this forum you will find lots of posts in regards to my system. The Min and Max DC voltages of a 24 volt 3500-watt VFXR 21-34 VDC. In charging up my battery to 57.8 volts that equals 4.12 volts per cell. I run 14 cells...

Re: Outback equipment/lithium battery compatibility

I run 2 VFX3648 units and a 2017 Chevy Volt Lithium Battery. No problems with charging the battery bank. No issues with the low battery cut out either. It did take some time to get the settings correct for the battery. Still looking for a second-volt battery to add capacity to the system or possibly...

It stays good for about 4 to 6 months.

The reset will make the FNDC learn the battery.

I think its time to reset my FNDC. It's saying 100 percent charge but the battery voltage is not matching that.
Battey charged is voltage is 58.1 and as you can see not there yet.

Well, that would make a nasty surprise in a rabbit hole............... no o them snakes around here. In regards to the flux capacitor and time travel the Tesla cars can't, I have heard that they just go from 87 mph to 89, the skip over 88  I can't help my self........... I thought the Starlink system was to be used for charging up Teslas using the Microwave beams form the satellites................

Starlink is a satellite constellation being constructed by SpaceX to charge all Models of Tesla Cars.................

There may have been some editing on that

Re: Pondering Skybox system for off-grid application

In regards to AC systems which tend to be a large load on solar systems, companies are starting to come out with systems designed for off-grid use. Consisting of 3 to 4 solar panels, DC powered compressor and battery storage to last up to 12 hours or more of runtime at night. They can side split uni...

Re: Does this hardware exist?

The most redneck and awsome setup I have seen is the Wireless webcam pointing at the power meter to see what the meter says.

Amazon for like 50 bucks.

Had it displayed on PC next to his Mate3.

Lowtech and works well.

Re: intermittent freeze and reboot

Have you updated to the latest firmware for your Mate3s? Is the ethernet cable that plugs into the MATE3S seated properly? Same for the HUB is it seated properly? If you have access to another ethernet net cable you could try that as well? As for static, I do know that in the winter sometimes the ci...

Re: FM80 Hydro Diversion

I would recommend a Midnite. The FNDC will monitor the Hydro input no problem. I use all 3 shunt inputs on my FNDC. Monitor the FM60 I, the Midnite and the output to the inverters. The Midnite has built in support for the Solar, Wind and Hydro. Plays nice with Lithium battery banks as well.

Question for you? Why did you replace the Onan with the POS Champion? If the Onan was still running and working well I would go back to the Onan. It will outlast the champion. Will run 24 hours a day under full load and still work for you. If you were having problems with the Onan there is a good fo...

Re: Moving Mate3 away from Flexpower unit

I to would worry about exposed CAT5 cable. It's not supposed to be ran outside of buildings. I would worry about a lighting strike. I would look into the Ubiquiti Line of Point to Point wireless extenders. They are rock solid and very well. Or if you can bury the CAT5 in a conduit at least 1 to feet...

Re: Can only charge battery bank with AC input

The FNDC can see input coming from the Midnites. I have each of the shunts named in Optics RE.
It does not show on the OPTICS RE graphic as power going in but it does know there is power going in.
I'm sure that smarter people than me will have a better answer.

Good luck with your system.

Re: Can only charge battery bank with AC input

Mike is correct is setting the MidNite unit at .4 volts. I use a Midnite unit and a Outback unit. I do not sell back to the grid. I also have the Midnite ran through its own current shunt that is feed to the FNDC that I have. I have 3 current shunts installed. Once for the FM 60 the second for the M...
