Re: Skybox running 1.4.15

Each SkyBox needs to be programmed individually. I would use CONFIG1 as a starting point for each and update the appropriate settings that are related to capacity. Ah, end amps... to reflect the 3 batteries instead of 4.

Hello, The CONFIGURATION 1 and CONFIGURATION 2 are for the 3.8 SimpliPhi batteries. I believe CONFIGURATION 1 is for 4 X 3.8 SimpliPhi and CONFIGURATION 2 is for 6 X 3.8 SimpliPhi batteries. You could upload one of those and make the Ah, end amps, etc adjustments for your battery bank size. These CO...

I was informed that the FM60/80's never had that function working without solar. Not sure about the MXs.

The FM100 will operate the AUX port with or without solar.

Re: Generator connection/use best practice w/ Skyboxx

Mike, I leave my generator breaker closed and start the gennerator manually with a key fob remote. (cheap firman 3500 portable generator) After a preset delay (30 seconds but programable on the generator tab as Rayson mentioned) Skybox automatically passes the generator thru to the critical loads. ...

Re: Stacked SkyBox Inverters and Battery Banks

My question is about how the battery bank(s) are handled when stacking the SkyBox Inverters. To my understanding... when stacking these inverters each requires a separate battery bank. This concerns me as how does the system use each bank of batteries equally to prevent one from aging faster than t...

I have a stacked of 2 of 7kw outback inverters, on optics showing low soc while the other inverters using same batteries are not displaying this same error message. This will cause the inverter to shutdown. I need an explanation to this cause and possibly a solution. Thanks Is your system still havi...

The FM60/80 are not field upgrade-able. The others may have purchased theirs more recently. If you want to upgrade your FM60, you will need to send it to us for manual firmware update. Call technical support to get details on how that works.

Can you update your profile to include the equipment in your system and OpticsRE profile, if you have one? Where are you seeing this, on the inverter or charge controller?

Re: Radian Inverter PREPA Parameters

If you look at the requirement again, it says % of nominal voltage. So 45% of 120 = 54V . 120% of 120V is 144V. The settings are correct.

Re: Radian Inverter PREPA Parameters

The PREPA settings should match the requirement, we'll look into that. I would recommend one of two things: 1) Try uploading the GIP file again, perhaps something happened in the process? OR 2) If you would like to quickly fix this, try looking at APP NOTE: Go to Page 6 under To Enter the Grid Suppo...

Stacking is available for Skybox! Just need to make sure you have a newer version of the firmware as the stacking feature is not available prior to firmware revision 1.2.22. Checkout Page 54 of the Skybox Manual if you need more information. Skybox will prioritize the protected loads over charging a...

Re: Enphase Envoy microinverter detection thru Skybox

Back to the original topic: I've reconfigured my AC arrays so that my two rows of Westinghouse Solar modules (installed in 2012) are back to being simply grid tied, while the newer AC array (2019) is AC coupled to the Skybox output. I've also plugged the Envoy into the same circuit as the Westingho...

Re: Mate3S programming for 12v system

Hello, You shouldn't see 700W the entire time, but you may see it at a point in time during the charge cycle. It looks like in your AGS settings, you are using only Voltage Start. Once the batteries reach the target voltage, it will take less energy/power to maintain it there. The current (amps) to ...

Re: Removing Battery Connection

From the VFXR manual: VFXRA The inverter is also controlled by a high battery cut-out limit. If the DC voltage rises above this limit, the inverter immediately stops functioning and gives a High Battery V error. This function is intended to protect the inverter’s output and loads. Continuing to inve...

Ensure your MATE3 is at firmware Version 003.017.000 (OPTICS RE) or higher. Older firmware versions of MATE3 are not compatible with the new GS8048A-01. ALL MATE3s are compatible with GS8048-01. Then I would check all of your AC Input Current Limits. This App Note covers the limits to check: Upgradi...

Assuming the same connection for Skybox, I wonder why this straight through connection prevents the Envoy from detecting the microinverters on...

I bet with a transformer-less topology that power line communication is disrupted through all the electronic switching in between the input and output. Have you had any issues with the AFCI and the Envoy? Devices that use power line ...
