Re: Can I use a PSX-240 Autotransformer to step up to run a well pump?

Before considering a transformer of any type, you need to do some design analysis. 1) How much does your well pump draw when running? 2) What is the starting amps for the well pump? 3) What is the VA capability of your present inverter for both steady state and surge? 4) Can the LG Chem RESU 10H SE...

Would not the faulty sensor be the one which displays a faulty reading on the Mate or OpticRE ????

Hey Sparks - What do you mean,
A GFX Inverter / Charger on the other hand could not have a "CLP".
I have a GVFX and it is connected to a critical loads panel... :-k
Guess I goofed that one...

I'll go back and clean that up a bit. #-o

Re: Mains Power Backup

If you have a VFXR Inverter / Charger or even a GVFX installed in this FP1 then I might assume your OB agent has foregone installing the additional sub-panel to serve as a "Critical Loads Panel". Without the 'CLP', your lighting might be wired to AC MDP or may even be wired at DC battery voltage (LE...

Re: VFXR Inverters Remote on/off Function

As for toggling on and off compressor loads on GSHP or any HP,, perhaps a separate and constant powered source for the 24VAC controls could satisfy the toggling. Obviously as was mentioned, there needs a time delay to allow 2 sides of pressure to equalize before quick restart... I toggle thel 2nd st...

It would seem likely that adding the 4th is where the error began.

The Hub will not like port assignments that don't follow the purpose.

Study papers closely on Hub install...there are internal PCB jumpers options besides the strict RJ45 port assignments to contend with...

Re: Input-Output Bypass Assembly

Bypass is just a manual way to "bypass" the AC AROUND the FlexWare to maintain the loads as if the FW were electrically not there...as for servicing the FW AC side. It is more accurate to say that it bypasses the inverter AC output. There is still AC voltage inside the FlexWare box, so watch where ...

Your Mate1 may not be compatible with your VFX Mobile... From the "FX Mobile" install manual... The MATE2 is a system display designed for use with mobile FX inverters. It is intended to be flush-mounted in a panel. Along with programmed criteria for accepting shore or generator AC sources, it has t...

Re: Input-Output Bypass Assembly

Bypass in a FlexWare has nothing to do with any generator switching...

What FW inverter/charger model would we be talking of here?

Bypass is just a manual way to "bypass" the AC AROUND the FlexWare to maintain the loads as if the FW were electrically not there...as for servicing the FW AC side.

Re: Where does the programming reside?

Pre (F)XR model inverter/chargers were not able to be field updated for FW, hence the "set-it and forget-it" of not requiring a permanet Mate after initial set-up...with a Mate the homeowners could fudge things up too easily and cause many unnecessary call backs. OPTICSre didn't exist yet either...

Let us not forget the utility...
Counting 5 ground rods...now how bout that utility ground wire running down from transformer on pole?
Problem there may account as to why connecting the generator shows so much better than connecting the grid... :-k

Re: Power factor mismatch? Grid very low, SB=1

I see. Some confusion exists, my bonding refers to only ground to ground everywhere and assumes single N-G, your bonding refers to Neutral to Ground and you want to do that twice as there are 2 systems. But as you say, makes no difference either way, I understand that. Bottom-line, there can be no d...
