UB8D Battery Life

Hi, our batteries, 8 x UB8D in parallel at 24 volts (did I describe that right?) are not holding a charge at all. The batteries are a little over 5 years old. We live in Puerto Rico where the batteries operate at a higher temperature, usually around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. I have some ideas to run so...

My question is should I disconnect anything, just turn the system off when she gets close. I have a main switch I can turn off connection between power and house. We ...

Equalizing batteris without AC input

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible for me to equalize my batteries using the solar energy. I live in Puerto Rico so we have plenty of sun and power. I notice it mentions in the Outback video you have to use the AC input option. This is my set-up: 21 170 (?) watt solar panels. 8 UB4D batteries wire...

Re: Battery Life and Charging

Thank you for your reply. I have one question, do I have enough battery power to run a refrigerator, a couple of overhead fans, light bulbs and computer? Sandy, I didn't change the voltage and float settings because our temperature here runs about 30-33c, for the highs, cooler for the mornings/eveni...
